It’s hard to believe life will ever feel “normal” again.

Grief comes in many forms — from the loss of someone to divorce and other life transitions — it is almost always all-consuming. When you are in the throes of loss, it can feel impossible to imagine how to get through the next few hours or days, let alone the months and years ahead. It can leave you feeling directionless, anxious, and hopeless.

This is only made worse as your support system changes around you. It may feel like your friends or family are sick of hearing you talk about your grief, or feel like people are on eggshells around you ... when all you need is someone who is willing to sit in this space with you while you process this loss.

This is a space for you.

Despite what we may have been told or read about in books, there is no right way to grieve — and it isn’t a one-and-done 5-stage process. It’s a complex, personal journey that is different for every person and every loss.

Here, you don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to be “moved on”. If you simply need a place to be sad, you’ll find it with Dr. Damita. She offers you the support you need to regain your direction and hope for the future.

Grief & Life Transitions

Grief isn’t always caused by death; it can also be brought about by life experiences that cause us to mourn what was and struggle to process what is now. Dr. Damita walks alongside you in the midst of your grief as a result of: divorce, job loss or retirement, graduation, relocation, medical diagnoses, and other transitions.
